Introducing Lewis Brisbois’ Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group Leadership

Atlanta, Ga./Los Angeles, Calif. (March 18, 2024) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to announce its Intellectual Property & Technology Practice co-chairs: Los Angeles Partners Robert Collins and Craig Holden, and Atlanta Partners Joshua Curry and Jonathan Goins. The attorneys who comprise this leadership team will work together to continue to enhance the already high level of service that Lewis Brisbois provides to its intellectual property (IP) clients on a national and global scale.

Lewis Brisbois’ Intellectual Property & Technology Practice serves clients in the areas of patent, copyright, trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, economic, licensing, franchising, and rights acquisition. The practice’s attorneys – many of whom hold technical degrees in engineering and the sciences – are strategically located across the country. They also maintain close relationships with associates overseas to help clients navigate filings and proceedings around the globe.

Mr. Collins’ practice is focused on IP matters including trademark and Lanham Act claims, copyright litigation, unfair competition litigation, false advertising, trade secret litigation, right of publicity, anti-piracy, franchising, and related complex business litigation. His practice also includes copyright and trademark prosecution, licensing, and extensive online enforcement of IP rights in response to unauthorized use on multiple e-commerce platforms.

Mr. Curry is a registered patent attorney and an experienced litigator who holds a physics degree. His national practice covers all aspects of IP and technology litigation and counseling, with a particular emphasis on disputes involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. He regularly litigates cases in federal courts across the country, as well as cases before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, International Trade Commission, and Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Curry also is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Goins serves as lead counsel in IP and technology litigation across the country, including “bet the company” cases with multimillion-dollar exposure. He is a trusted business advisor and regularly counsels Fortune 500, mid-size, and profitable start-up companies in a wide variety of IP matters, including managing the global trademark portfolio for one of the world’s most famous brands. Mr. Goins is consistently ranked in peer-recognitions and publications for his expertise in intellectual property, including Best Lawyers In America, Martindale-Hubbell (AV rated), Super Lawyers, and the World Trademark Review (WTR).

Mr. Holden has served as lead trial counsel in in all types of intellectual property litigation involving a wide range of products and content, from prominent computer technology to Grammy Award winning music.  Mr. Holden has represented prominent entertainment companies in copyright litigation, Nasdaq 100 companies in patent litigation, and some of America’s most famous brands in trademark litigation.  Mr. Holden has also represented a wide range of businesses in trade secret, unfair competition and related complex business litigation.  Among other awards, Mr. Holden has been repeatedly recognized in the “Best Lawyers in America” edition by his peers, as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers in California” by the Daily Journal, selected to Super Lawyers by Thompson Reuters, named “Minority Power Broker” by Law360, “Most Influential Black Lawyer” by Savoy Magazine, and “Advocate of the Year” by Public Counsel
