Frank J. Romaguera IV is a partner in the New Orleans office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability and Insurance Law Practices. Frank is a Trial Attorney with 30 years’ experience, focusing his practice on litigation and advising clients in all aspects of casualty litigation defense, including general casualty, trucking, energy and environmental cases. Frank has also handled matters involving uninsured/underinsured motorist claims as well as claims in high volume. Frank joined Lewis Brisbois in 2024 after practicing in insurance staff counsel offices for more than 20 years. Frank has tried jury trials in Louisiana state and federal courts in personal injury lawsuits and commercial disputes.

Representative Matters

Civil District Court - Represented a corporate property owner in a premises liability case. Plaintiff tripped and fell while descending steps and had multiple shoulder surgeries. Defense verdict. Verdict: $0 Judgment.

Federal Court - Represented a underinsured motorist insurer alleged to handle the claim in bad faith. Plaintiff tried his claims to a jury. The jury awarded little more than the UM policy limits and dismissed outright the claims for penalties and attorney's fees. The jury agreed with defense and only awarded the plaintiff a $10,000 judgment.

24th Judicial District Court - Represented AARP insured driver in a parking lot pedestrian auto case. Plaintiff walked into the side of the driver's car in a garage. Defense judgment. Judgment: $0.
