Labor & Employment Team to Present Webinar on Washington & Oregon Legal Trends

New York, N.Y. (June 13, 2024) – Seattle Partners Benjamin Stone, Jason Harrington, Portland Partner Chris Hawk, and Associate Mark Hansen will present a webinar on legal trends facing employers in the states of Washington and Oregon on June 18 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

This 60-minute informative webinar, titled “Washington & Oregon Employment Trends,” will explore the latest trends and developments impacting employers in these states. Our panel will delve into recent case law, updated recommendations, and best practices for defending employment claims in these states. CLE and CE credit is available.

Mr. Stone serves as the Pacific Northwest Regional Vice Chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Labor & Employment Practice. His practice is focused on employment and civil-rights defense work. He defends companies and other employers against federal and state law employment claims and has handled matters in Washington State federal and state court, in arbitration, and before the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the Washington State Human Rights Commission and the Seattle Office for Civil Rights.

Mr. Harrington focuses his practice on employment, civil-rights, and wage and hour defense work for companies and other employers in all venues including federal, state, government agency, arbitration, mediation, and other negotiations before the EEOC, Washington HRC, Washington Dept. of Labor, and the Seattle Office for Civil Rights. This includes experience defending employers and other clients against administrative charges and lawsuits asserting claims of employment discrimination based on such protected classifications as race, national origin, gender, age, disability, hostile work environment and harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, and wage and hour violations.

Mr. Hawk is a member of the Labor & Employment and Professional Liability Practices. Mr. Hawk is a seasoned civil defense litigator with significant experience handling all aspects of litigation; from the initial demand through trial and appeal. His expansive labor and employment practice focuses on defending employers of all sizes against claims alleging retaliation, harassment, discrimination, and other civil rights claims, as well as wage and hour violations.

Mr. Hansen is an associate in the Portland office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. He has experience in representing clients in civil litigation suits involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and termination claims.
