Orlando Vera is an associate in the Dallas office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care Practices. Orlando has extensive pre-litigation and litigation experience and has handled cases for the defense and plaintiffs, representing both companies and individuals in civil actions in state and federal courts. Orlando’s practice areas include medical malpractice, first party and third-party coverage litigation and catastrophic injury litigation.

Orlando received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University, graduating with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. While at St. Mary’s, Orlando was awarded a merit based Presidential Scholarship for his academic performance. Orlando also earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research Management at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Orlando focused his research on examining and identifying factors associated with study subject loss to follow up in cardiovascular clinical research trials. Orlando earned his law degree from Loyola University College of Law. While at Loyola, Orlando was awarded a merit-based scholarship for his academic performance. Orlando also worked for the Office of the General Counsel at Loyola University, and was also selected to participate in Loyola’s Prosecution Clinic, where he worked as a student attorney in the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Orlando enjoys traveling, reading, jogging and spending time with his family and friends.
