Margie McCarthy is a partner in the Phoenix office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care Practices.

She is an experienced attorney with extensive experience in defending and litigating high exposure personal injury lawsuits, including matters involving medical malpractice, pharmacy malpractice, products liability and long-term care litigation. Margie has obtained favorable defense awards, summary judgments and defense verdicts on behalf of manufacturers, nursing homes and insurers, among numerous other clients.

In addition, she has served as national trial counsel in complex medical malpractice matters involving catastrophic injuries for a hospitalist group employing more than 1,000 physicians in over 30 states. In her role as national counsel, Margie directed local counsel while handling multiple medical malpractice cases in state and federal courts throughout the country. Margie has also been involved in developing risk management strategies and best practices for her numerous healthcare clients. She has also served as the managing partner of a mid-size litigation firm with responsibility for oversight of firm operations.

Margie McCarthy is a Registered Nurse (RN) and previously served as a critical care nurse.
