Representative Matters

  • Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s v. AEG Live and The Michael Jackson Company LLC: rescission litigation under a contingency cancellation policy for the "This Is It" concerts in London. The matter was litigated in Los Angeles on behalf of Underwriters against AEG Live and The Michael Jackson Company LLC following Jackson's death, and was based upon material misrepresentations and non-disclosures regarding Jackson’s prior drug use. After over one year of litigation, AEG dropped its $17.5 million insurance claim for a waiver of costs. Litigation continued and was resolved with the Estate of Michael Jackson.
