John L. Gregg

Associate

John L. Gregg is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Government Affairs & Public Policy and Administrative Law & Regulatory Practices.

John counsels innovator clients in regulated industries, including life sciences and technology, that face evolving legal and regulatory frameworks. He has experience helping clients monitor, understand and navigate the dynamic policy-making processes in both the executive and legislative branches of the federal and state levels of government. He also helps disruptive innovators and clients in industries with new or developing legal frameworks manage multiple processes, stakeholders and issues simultaneously and engage strategically as policy is developing or evolving.

John has experience with the developing frameworks for the electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) industry as it supports reasonable regulation to prevent youth-use while allowing adults to access products which help them cease use of traditional tobacco products. He has also advised cannabis industry clients, including on issues related to local, state, and federal cannabis statutes and regulations and the regulatory pathway for hemp and CBD in foods and dietary supplements. John has helped pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients develop strategies to enhance patient access to new treatments, including on issues related to drug pricing, transformative innovations such as gene therapy, treatments for rare diseases, newborn screening, and the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

John has also supported clients facing Congressional investigations, successfully using our balanced, multi-disciplined approach to resolving issues.

While pursuing his graduate and undergraduate degrees, John interned with influential conservative political organizations and worked with numerous D.C. area charities.
