Emily Allyn

Associate

Emily Allyn is an associate in the Sacramento office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care Practices. 

Her practice currently focuses on defending healthcare professionals and long-term care facilities against elder abuse claims. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, she spent years advocating on behalf of physicians, physician groups, nurses, hospitals, hospital networks, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and residential care facilities for the elderly (RCFEs) in medical malpractice and elder abuse lawsuits. 

Ms. Allyn is well-versed and experienced in all aspects of litigation, from initial intake and case evaluation, to drafting pleadings, discovery, law and motion, dispositive motions, depositions, expert discovery, conducting trial preparation, pre-trial motions, and trial. She has successfully represented clients in trials, arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences, and informal settlement negotiations.

Ms. Allyn received her Juris Doctorate from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, she worked for the European Union researching international law so as to assist the Commissioners with application of unified law for all Member States. She received her dual Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Santa Barbara in Political Science, with an emphasis in International Relations, and in Global Studies, with a concentration in Collective Political Violence.

Ms. Allyn is dedicated to providing her clients with the highest level of legal representation, utilizing innovative and creative strategies designed to achieve the best possible results. By conducting detailed analyses of cases, she is able to offer her clients the best courses of action for obtaining their objectives. Further, her background in real estate allows her to provide the highest level of customer service, while advocating for the most appropriate outcome for her clients.

Ms. Allyn was born and raised halfway between Sacramento and San Francisco, allowing her to enjoy the best of both cities. She now resides in Sacramento, and in her spare time she enjoys staying active, from participating in regattas with a local rowing club to running half marathons, as well as planning her next international trip and attempting to get her Great Dane to do anything but sleep all day.
