2 IP Partners Join Lewis Brisbois in Denver

Denver, Colorado (June 5, 2017) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Craig Mueller and Ian Walsworth to its Denver office as partners in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice.

“We are very excited to have Craig and Ian join our Denver office and continue the significant growth of our intellectual property capabilities in Denver and firmwide. Craig and Ian are highly respected intellectual property lawyers in our community and we are pleased to welcome them,” said Denver Managing Partner Todd Seelman.

Mueller’s practice focuses primarily on the preparation and prosecution of applications based on mechanical devices and related processes, while Walsworth routinely engages in patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright litigation and other alternative dispute resolution methods.

“Ian and Craig highlight the investment Lewis Brisbois has made to become a national presence in intellectual property and to expand our intellectual property abilities in Denver in particular. They are top-tier talents who enhance our firm’s ability to deliver intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution at the highest levels. Our Denver office has grown dramatically to reflect the importance of the region as a technology hub, and Ian and Craig are yet another example of Lewis Brisbois’ commitment to the region,” said Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Co-Chair Daniel DeCarlo.

In addition to preparing and prosecuting patent applications, Mueller’s practice includes counseling clients on issues relating to all areas of intellectual property law, developing IP portfolios, protecting foreign intellectual property rights, analysis of domestic and foreign patents, and drafting technology-related agreements.

“I joined Lewis Brisbois because I believe that I can help grow the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, which is very exciting. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to really make a difference in that growth, to grow my practice on a national stage, and to offer clients services outside IP,” Mueller said.

Joining Mueller at Lewis Brisbois is Walsworth, who has successfully resolved dozens of complex IP litigation matters in numerous federal courts. He has also assisted a number of enterprise and entrepreneurial clients in acquiring IP and has prepared and prosecuted domestic and foreign patent applications in diverse technology groups, including medical, chemical, mechanical, and electrical art groups.

“I was impressed by the collegial environment and the breadth of resources at Lewis Brisbois, and the culture was exactly what I was looking for. I am excited to bring my expertise to the Denver office and continue developing the firm’s IP & Technology Practice,” Walsworth said.
