Shawna Ruetz Appointed Co-Chair of CBA Labor & Employment Section Executive Committee

Denver, Colo. (July 21, 2020) – Denver Associate Shawna Ruetz was recently appointed as the employer-side co-chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s (CBA) Labor & Employment Law Section Executive Council for the 2020-2021 term. The committee is composed of Colorado attorneys interested in and focusing their practice on the various aspects of labor and employment law.

As a leader of this council, Ms. Ruetz will help facilitate the exchange of ideas among labor and employment attorneys and other members of the CBA through informative events and sponsorships that address both employer and employee perspectives on the developing areas of the law. She has previously served as secretary of this section and frequently participates in CBA webinars and other presentations.

"Participating in the Executive Council has been a great opportunity to meet and work with other labor and employment attorneys as well as develop initiatives for the section that are responsive to current events and related changes that impact the practice of labor and employment law in Colorado."

Ms. Ruetz is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Labor & Employment Practice and represents employers before administrative agencies and in all aspects of employment litigation in both federal and state courts. She has a diverse civil litigation background that includes employment and labor law, commercial litigation, general liability, insurance defense, and insurance coverage claims with an emphasis in matters involving bad faith, professional liability, and products liability
