Shawna Ruetz Appointed Secretary for CBA’s Labor & Employment Law Section Executive Council
Denver, Colo (July 15, 2019) – Denver Associate Shawna Ruetz was recently appointed as Secretary for the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) Labor & Employment Law Section’s Executive Council.
In order to be appointed to this prestigious position, Ms. Ruetz was first nominated by the current executive council for the Labor & Employment Law Section of the CBA and then selected by the council from a final list of candidates. She will serve a one-year term as Secretary and then continue on to a two-year term as Co-Chair for the Section.
The CBA offers mentoring opportunities to help improve the practice of law in Colorado while offering networking opportunities to attorneys from all fields of practice. The Labor & Employment Law Section specifically focuses on representing both the employer and employee sides of its membership by providing networking opportunities, continuing education, and opinions on relevant legislation before the Colorado legislature.
Ms. Ruetz is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Labor & Employment Practice. She represents employers before administrative agencies and in all aspects of employment litigation in both federal and state courts. She also advises and counsels employers on employment practices and policies.
