Rafael Zahralddin to Join Strafford Webinar on "Death Trap" Provisions

Wilmington, Del. (December 14, 2023) – Wilmington Partner Rafael X. Zahralddin will speak on “death trap” provisions in Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code at an upcoming Strafford webinar on January 18 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

This 90-minute CLE session with interactive Q&A, titled "Death Trap Provisions in Chapter 11 Plans: Minimizing the Likelihood of a Cramdown; Incentivizing Consensus,” will highlight how restructuring counsel use these provisions and related tools to create an accepting impaired class of creditors. The panelists will also discuss what courts consider in determining whether to approve plans with death trap provisions, and how parties can assess whether these provisions really minimize the likelihood of a contested confirmation. Mr. Zahralddin will be joined by Andrew S. Mordkoff and Debra McElligott Sinclair of Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
