Lewis Brisbois Enhances Business Litigation, Bankruptcy Capabilities in Delaware With New Partner Hire

Wilmington, Del. (April 9, 2024) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Ann Kashishian to its Wilmington office as a partner in the firm’s Complex Business & Commercial Litigation and Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practices. Ms. Kashishian has represented clients in complex litigation matters for over a decade. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Ms. Kashishian owned and operated her own law firm for more than 6 years, where she consistently secured positive results for alternative entities, corporations, and individuals in litigation matters throughout the Delaware and federal court systems. She also has successfully represented numerous committees and individual creditors in chapter 11 and chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings.

In discussing her decision to join Lewis Brisbois, Ms. Kashishian explained that she was interested in transitioning from being a sole practitioner to working with a team. She described, “When I met the lawyers at Lewis Brisbois, I thought, ‘Wow! These are great people and they do great work.’ Our practice areas align and there are great resources here for my clients.” Ms. Kashishian further explained that her practice has always involved the interpretation of complex contracts. “I love digging into the nuances of language and using that to represent my clients,” she noted.

Wilmington Managing Partner Francis G.X. Pileggi expressed enthusiasm about Ms. Kashishian’s arrival. He stated, “We are extremely pleased that Ann has joined our team. Her deep experience in corporate and commercial litigation as well as insolvency-related matters adds to our deep bench in those areas both in Delaware and in our offices around the country. We look forward to working with her.”

Similarly, Wilmington Partner Scott Cousins noted, “I have known Ann for many years, and I am excited to be working with her again. She is an extraordinary lawyer who is going to add significant experience and depth to our corporate litigation and restructuring practices.”

Outside of her practice, Ms. Kashishian participates in the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, volunteers with a local animal rescue organization, sings in community choirs, and acts at regional theaters throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware. She has also served on the board of directors for a non-profit theater located in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Ms. Kashishian earned her law degree from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. She is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Delaware.
