Leiza Dolghih, Gene Kaskiw to Present at International Bar Association Annual Meeting in South Korea

Seoul, Korea (August 23, 2019) – Dallas Partner Elisaveta “Leiza” Dolghih and Newark Associate Gene K. Kaskiw will both speak at theInternational Bar Association (IBA) Annual Conference taking place in Seoul, South Korea, from September 22 – 27.

On September 23, Ms. Dolghih will take part in a discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence Algorithms” that will look at the rising popularity and business value of artificial intelligence (AI) and what providers of AI solutions can do to protect their intellectual property and other tangible assets. The speakers will review copyright and patent regimes as they apply to AI.

On September 26, Mr. Kaskiw will join a workshop titled “Hot Topics in Aviation Regulatory Matters” which will discuss important issues regarding the regulation of aircraft, airlines, airports, drones, and pilots that arise from both written regulations and case law. The panel will also cover airline tariffs and contracts of carriage, passenger compensation for flight delays, and various enforcement measures and penalties regarding regulatory violations.

Ms. Dolghih is a co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Disputes Practice and currently serves on the Trade Secrets subcommittee of the Texas Bar Intellectual Property Section.

Mr. Kaskiw is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Aviation Practice and regularly defends large domestic and international air carriers in personal injury cases.
