Kate Cappelmann Appointed to South Carolina Bar’s Practice & Procedure, Diversity Committees

Savannah, Ga. (July 23, 2021) – Savannah Partner Kate Cappelmann was recently appointed to serve on two committees of the South Carolina Bar. She was selected to serve on the Practice and Procedure Committee, as well as the association's Diversity Committee for the 2021-2022 Board year.

The South Carolina Bar's Practice and Procedure Committee studies and makes recommendations regarding the rules and law pertaining to practice and procedure and continues efforts regarding the improvement of the operation of the judicial system. The Diversity Committee highlights efforts to promote full and meaningful participation in the legal profession in South Carolina by people of diverse backgrounds.

The South Carolina Bar has over 17,000 members, and offers a variety of resources for its lawyers, including a vast selection of CLE courses, publications, access to free research tools, practice management assistance, free mental health counseling services and an ethics hotline.

Ms. Cappelmann is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Products Liability Practice and began her legal career practicing in South Carolina in both the private and public sectors. She is passionate about litigation and enjoys being inside the courtroom.
