Josh Curry to Moderate GIPA Corporate IP Institute Panel on Patent, Copyright, and Technology Litigation

Atlanta, Ga. (October 10, 2022) - Atlanta Partner Joshua D. Curry will moderate a panel titled “Patent, Copyright, and Technology Litigation Overlaps, Intersections, and Developments,” as part of the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance’s 2022 Corporate IP Institute on October 14 at 11:45 a.m. ET, hosted at the Georgia State University College of Law.

In this 75-minute session, Mr. Curry will moderate a discussion on how copyright law has been used in creative and interesting ways to protect innovation that might otherwise have been the subject of a patent. The panel will discuss cases where the copyright owner has asserted infringement of a relatively small amount of code, sometimes only a handful of lines, as a proxy for controlling a much broader area of the market or a technology.
