Jane Luxton to Moderate ELI WELL Seminar on Increasing Gender Diversity In The Boardroom

Washington, D.C. (October 19, 2021) – Washington D.C. Managing Partner Jane C. Luxton will moderate a webinar on increasing gender diversity within corporate boards, hosted by the Environmental Law Institute Women in Environmental Law and Leadership (ELI WELL) on November 4 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

This informative 90-minute panel titled "The Value of Increased Women on Board," will feature experts sharing their thoughts on the latest NASDAQ rule approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in August. Companies listed on the NASDAQ will now need to include at least two diverse directors, one person who identifies as female and another as an underrepresented minority or LGBTQ+. The panelists will also discuss personal experiences serving on corporate boards, providing insights on how to become a board member.

Women in Environmental Law & Leadership (WELL) supports ELI’s mission to foster innovative policy solutions to enable leaders across borders and sectors to make environmental, economic, and social progress. Members of WELL help to advance female leadership in the environmental law and policy field and inform ELI’s programs as they relate to women’s issues.
