Eric Neiman to Speak at AHLA Annual Meeting on Workplace Violence in Behavioral Health & Acute Care Settings

Portland, Ore. (April 20, 2022) – Portland Managing Partner Eric J. Neiman will speak at the American Health Law Association (AHLA) Annual Meeting, hosted at Hyatt Regency Chicago on June 28 at 3:45 p.m. CT and June 29 at 9:30 a.m. CT.  

In an informative 60-minute session titled “Silent Epidemic:  Workplace Violence in Behavioral Health and Acute Care Settings,” Mr. Neiman and his co-panelist will discuss the increasing prevalence of workplace violence in psychiatric and acute care hospitals. They will provide perspectives on industry, labor groups, and federal and state regulatory actions, including OSHA enforcement initiatives, and state statutory efforts.

Mr. Neiman is a member of the Healthcare and Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practices. He is chair of Lewis Brisbois' Healthcare Regulatory Practice and Behavioral Health Practice, and a member of the firm’s Crisis Management Practice, regularly called upon to assist healthcare clients in managing responses to critical events. His practice focuses on healthcare litigation and health law including behavioral health, medical staff, provider issues, managed care, UCR, compliance and risk management.
