Ellen Greiper to Present on COVID-19 Liability for NAWIC Greater New York Webinar Series
New York, N.Y. (March 2, 2021) – New York Partner Ellen H. Greiper will deliver a presentation as part of the National Association of Women in Construction Greater New York Chapter (NAWIC GNY) "WIC Week" webinar series taking place March 7-13. Ms. Greiper’s presentation, titled “COVID Liability,” will take place on March 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Ms. Greiper will discuss how courts across the country have imposed liability against individuals or businesses that harm others by transmission of communicable disease. She will also review likely claims and targets of such litigation and expected theories of liabilities, and briefly touch on possible defenses.
Ms. Greiper is a member of Lewis Brisbois' Construction Practice and sits on the NAWIC Board of Directors. She is a prolific author and frequent presenters on topics related to her practice and women in the legal industry.
