Claire Kueffner to Join University of St. Thomas Law Journal Spring Symposium

Minneapolis, Minn. (April 8, 2022) – Minneapolis Associate Claire C. Kueffner will speak at her alma mater University of St. Thomas School of Law’s spring symposium, “Prisoner Rights and Prison Conditions,” on April 22 at 10:45 a.m. CT.  

In an informative panel titled “Personal Safety for Prisoners,” Ms. Kueffner and her co-panelists will discuss the discrimination to incarceration pipeline for transgender people of color. They will also provide an overview of standards for identifying and protecting vulnerable prisoners from sexual violence in confinement. CLE credits are available. 

This symposium will shed light on the conditions of incarcerated individuals in the United States, and will feature lawyers in public interest organizations and law firms who have dedicated their practices to representing prisoners, and scholars who have studied prison conditions and become experts in “prison law” along with the judicial process for litigation.

Ms. Kueffner is a member of the Products Liability Practice. She works strategically to meet clients’ needs as they relate to products liability, business litigation, and employment issues. Ms. Kueffner received her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas, where she was the Articles Editor of the St. Thomas Law Journal, a member of the ABA moot court team, and a participant in the Appellate Clinic where she represented an appellant in a prisoner’s rights case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
