Bradley Krupicka Completes Term as President of Multnomah County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section

Portland, Ore. (June 22, 2021) - Portland Partner Bradley J. Krupicka will complete his term as President of the Multnomah County Bar Association’s (MBA) Young Lawyers Section (YLS) at the end of June. During his term, Mr. Krupicka led and participated in several important initiatives, while successfully navigating programming challenges associated with the pandemic.

In his role as MBA YLS president, Mr. Krupicka served on the Multnomah County Circuit Court Remote Jury Trial Committee and used his platform to benefit local communities. He established the Social Justice Task Force, which focuses upon promoting diversity. As President, Brad oversaw several donation drives to collect used instruments for students in the Douglas School District music program, to support the Children’s Book Bank, and to support the Gateway Center for Domestic Violence Services.

Although the pandemic presented certain challenges, The YLS worked hard to adjust programming where necessary to allow important events to take place. For example, he transformed the Wills for Heroes (WFH) program from an in-person to a drive-thru clinic. The WFH program provides basic wills and estate planning for first responders, including medical and hospital workers. Due to notary and execution requirements associated with preparing these documents, holding the clinic during the pandemic required significant effort on the part of all parties involved. In addition, the YLS organized virtual events, including the new admittee social, trivia escape room, and a cooking class, all of which typically occur in person.

“It has been my great honor to serve the local legal and broader community during these hard times. The outpouring of energy, innovation, and creativity has been fantastic to help foster in my role as YLS President," said Mr. Krupicka. "Giving back and pro bono work has always been greatly important to me and I am overjoyed that we were able to accomplish so much even during the pandemic.”
