Farhan M. Zahid

Associate

Farhan M. Zahid is an associate in the St. Louis office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice.

Farhan was born in the historic Dogtown neighborhood in the City of St. Louis. He graduated from Philadelphia’s Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2015. He has worked as a defense attorney for small, mid-sized, and big law firms practicing a range of civil litigation; as well as has experience as a solo practitioner.

Farhan is a seasoned associate with victorious first chair trial victory experience. He has also succeeded in procuring dismissals immediately after deposing plaintiffs in high-stakes diacetyl products liability cases. Through aggressive motion practice, Farhan helped secure a favorable client no-pay settlement in an insurance defense environmental nuisance claim. Farhan has taken and defended well over 150 depositions, primarily in mass toxic tort asbestos cases. Farhan has also cross-examined medical experts and succeeded in securing the admissions necessary for his client to prevail. Farhan also has a knack at finding needles in the haystack of discovery and discovered (no pun intended) the crucial evidence in a municipal negligence case that broke the chain of causation linking the decedent’s injury to Farhan’s client, rendering a 10-million dollar claim to a mere handful of settlement amount. Farhan has also worked on a malicious prosecution case that was featured on the television show Dateline.

Farhan is also a scholar of Middle Eastern Studies, having trained in the discipline during elementary, junior high, high school, post-undergrad certification, and eventually earning a Master’s degree in the field.

Farhan has lived and traveled widely throughout the United States and the world. In his free time, Farhan enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and grandmother, basketball, film acting and screenplay writing, urban exploration, reading, music, art, and classic cars.

Farhan is conversational in Arabic and Urdu.
