Frederick Stoker

Associate

Frederick Stoker is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice.

During law school, Frederick worked as a legal intern for the Single Justice session of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court reviewing petitions and applications for interlocutory appeal and drafting memoranda to the clerks and justices. After that, he served as a trust associate for a private trust company, reviewing governing instruments and performing legal research.

After graduating, Frederick began as a law clerk and later associate for a solo practice in Boston working on various civil matters including plaintiff and defense work. Upon moving to California, he was at a small firm negotiating personal injury claims pre-litigation on behalf of plaintiffs.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he began a solo practice performing transactional work as well as handling a petition for writ of mandate from start to finish. The following year, Frederick began at another small firm litigating personal injury and employment cases and ultimately narrowed my practice to personal injury cases including premises liability, dog bites, and motor vehicle accidents. As a plaintiff’s attorney, he drafted and successfully argued motions to compel discovery, motions to quash subpoenas, and a motion to remand.
