Joel Schwarz is a partner in the Las Vegas office of Lewis Brisbois and is a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice.

Mr. Schwarz is in his 19th year of practice. He started his career at one of Nevada's oldest and largest firms, practicing Complex Commercial, Catastrophic Tort, Commercial Landlord-Tenant and Intellectual Property Litigation, and Civil Appeals. Joel then moved to a national firm, continuing in the same areas of practice. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, he worked at a Nevada-based litigation boutique firm primarily practicing in Complex Commercial litigation and Civil Appeals.

  • Sierra Development Co. v. Chartwell Advisory Group. et al., United States District Court for the District of Nevada, Case No. 13cv602 BEN (VPC): Successful defense of gaming corporation in breach of contract and unjust enrichment action.
  • In Re: D.O.T. Litigation, Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada Case No. A-19-787004-B: Successful defense of claims by unsuccessful applicants seeking to reverse Nevada's 2018 recreational cannabis dispensary licensing process and strip successful applicants of conditional licenses. 
  • RAD Source Technologies, Inc. v. State of Nevada, ex rel. Dep't of Taxation, Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County Nevada Case No. A-19-805074-W: Obtained Writ of Prohibition against State of Nevada moratorium arbitrarily and capriciously prohibiting use of equipment used in cannabis remediation. 
  • Boink Systems, Inc. v. Las Vegas Sands Corp., et al., United States District Court for the District of Nevada, Case No 2:08-cv-00089-PAL: Obtained jury verdict for breach of contract 
  • Omix-ADA v. Changzhou Jiulong Auto Lamps Factory, et al., United States District Court for the District of Nevada Case No. 2:16-cv-02527-GMN-CWH: patent and trademark enforcement action, including trade show seizure of infringing materials, for automotive aftermarket parts manufacturer and supplier against foreign infringers.
