John Hackett

Associate

John Hackett is an associate in the Madison County, Illinois office of Lewis Brisbois, located in Metropolitan St. Louis, and is a member of Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation and General Liability Practices. Mr. Hackett is involved in all aspects of litigation, including drafting, and arguing dispositive motions, deposing plaintiffs and other key witnesses, and trial preparation. Mr. Hackett has also defended clients in aviation litigation and complex contract disputes.

Mr. Hackett is an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. Louis University School of Law. 

While he was in law school, Mr. Hackett was named a Simeone Fellow and clerked on the Court of Appeals for the Eastern District of Missouri. He led the St. Louis University School of Law team to an appearance in the regional finals of the New York Bar National Moot Court Competition and continues to mentor SLU Law’s moot court teams. While attending law school at night, Mr. Hackett worked during the day as a Human Resources professional in the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to law school, Mr. Hackett led workforce development programs for Department of Defense and Department of Health and Human Services contracts.

Mr. Hackett is a distinguished graduate of The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina.
