Eric Cook is a partner in the Phoenix office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Banking, Real Estate and General Liability Practice. Mr. Cook has represented lenders, loan servicers and other financial institutions in creditor’s rights issues, collections and foreclosure matters. Mr. Cook has successfully argued before the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of a number of national financial institutions.
Mr. Cook has represented numerous Homeowner’s Associations throughout Arizona in cases involving premise liability, construction defects and enforcement of CC&Rs.
His practice also focuses on complex litigation, product liability, environmental tort litigation, construction defect, insurance bad faith, and high exposure cases involving traumatic brain and other significant injuries. He has extensive litigation experience, including representing individuals and businesses in state and federal courts throughout Arizona.
Mr. Cook obtained a directed verdict for a national trucking company in a case where the plaintiff was left a quadriplegic due to shifting cargo.
Mr. Cook obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He obtained his B.A. from San Jose State University in 1994, where he majored in Political Science with a minor in English and graduated cum laude and on the Dean’s List.
Mr. Cook is a member of the American Bar Association, Maricopa Bar Association, Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
In his free time, Mr. Cook enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys martial arts and following the San Francisco Giants.
