Philip J. Tacason is an associate attorney in the Reno, Nevada office of Lewis Brisbois. Mr. Tacason represents individuals and corporations in state and federal courts across Nevada. His practice spans various areas of civil and commercial litigation, including professional malpractice, products liability, insurance coverage, and bad-faith litigation. In addition, Mr. Tacason serves as coverage counsel for private insurers and public risk-sharing entities.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Tacason was the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Alvin R. (Al) Kacin III, Chief District Judge of the Fourth Judicial District Court. Previously, Mr. Tacason was a judicial extern to the Honorable Andrew Y.S. Cheng, Judge of the San Francisco Superior Court, Complex Litigation Department.
Mr. Tacason is admitted to practice in Nevada and California state and federal courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is an alumnus of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (UC Law San Francisco), where he served as an editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly.
In his spare time, Mr. Tacason is a guitarist, songwriter, and session musician. He is also a crossword aficionado, and has completed and created thousands of crosswords in various American and British publications.
