Craig Holden is a partner in the Los Angeles office and is Chair of the firm's National Commercial Litigation Practice. Mr. Holden’s practice includes a wide range of commercial matters, with an emphasis on complex commercial transactions, intellectual property and unfair competition, data security and breach, investment and real estate transactions, and high-stake business and employment disputes. His clients have ranged from Fortune 100 companies and entrepreneurs to professional athletes and entertainment companies. Mr. Holden has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers in California” by the Daily Journal Corporation, repeatedly named a “Super Lawyer” by Thompson Reuters, named “Minority Power Broker” by Law360, named “Most Influential Black Lawyer” by Savoy Magazine, and “Advocate of the Year” by Public Counsel.

As a litigator, Mr. Holden is a skilled trial lawyer with first-chair experience in jury trials in federal and state court, as well as bench trials and numerous arbitrations; and he has served as lead appellate counsel in state and federal appellate courts. He has also been effective in getting clients early resolution of disputes through strategic and dispositive motion practice or alternative dispute resolution. As a business counselor, Mr. Holden has served as outside general counsel on a wide range of legal matters for privately held companies in high-technology, engineering/manufacturing, entertainment, professional services, retail, hospitality, and energy industries. Mr. Holden’s prior corporate in-house legal experience – including for a global entertainment and consumer products company – helps him better understand a client’s need for practical, results-oriented and cost-effective legal advice.

Mr. Holden has been a leader in legal, business and charitable organizations.  He serves on a leadership council for the Rand Corporation, a non-partisan think-tank focused on cutting edge issues relating to business regulation and civic justice. As Vice-Chair of the firm’s Government Relations Practice, he assists clients with legislative and regulatory matters before local, state and federal agencies, and represents governmental entities and officials.
