Rosa Maria Leon to Moderate Hispanic Bar Association-DC Sports Law Panel

Washington, D.C. (January 22, 2024) – Phoenix Associate Rosa Maria Leon will moderate a sports law panel on “Women Leading the Leagues,” co-hosted by the Hispanic Bar Association of DC (HBA-DC) and The Sports Lawyers Association Latinx Affinity Group, at the Wizards Corporate Offices on February 4 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Lewis Brisbois is a proud sponsor of this 90-minute panel, which will be held before the Washington Wizards take on the Phoenix Suns, giving registrants an opportunity to win tickets to the game immediately following the CLE event in the Lexus+ Suite at Capital One Arena. Ms. Leon will moderate this panel with speakers Betsy Philpott (Senior Vice President and General Counsel - Washington Nationals), Jessica Wright (General Counsel - DC United), and Abby Blomstrom (Executive Vice President and General Counsel - Monumental Sports and Entertainment). Ms. Leon is a member of the Labor & Employment and Collegiate & Professional Sports Law Practices. She focuses her practice on representing professional sports teams in the United States. She has experience working with NBA teams and professional soccer teams on a range of legal issues, including employment, compliance, and risk management. Ms. Leon is also a developing thought leader in the space and has published an article on Title IX as it pertains to college athletes.
