Mark Yost to Participate in Illinois Health Care Association’s "Wild About Quality" Virtual Convention & Expo
Baltimore, Md. (August 24, 2020) – Baltimore Partner Mark A. Yost will provide an on-demand presentation for the Illinois Health Care Association's (IHCA) "Wild About Quality" 70th Annual Virtual Convention & Expo, taking place September 15-17.
Mr. Yost's presentation, titled "Immediate Jeopardy (IJ) Under the New Rules of Participation (RoP)," will focus on the survey process and how IJ is arrived at and declared. It will also cover the latest updates from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and provide best practices in responding to an IJ. The presentation will also focus on the Quality Assurance processes, and will provide a review of the appeals process for negative results and the serious considerations that must take place before appealing. Finally, it will address how IJs are being used to enforce new COVID-19 regulatory requirements.
This 3-day Virtual Convention and Expo will include both live and on-demand educational sessions on a variety of topics from well-known speakers in the industry. Each session will be recorded and available from September 15, with the virtual platform remaining active until September 30. CLE credits will be available
