Janeen Thomas to Moderate Diversity Discussion at Westchester Women’s Bar Association Meeting

New York, N.Y. (March 29, 2021) – New York Partner Janeen M. Thomas will moderate a virtual panel discussion on diversity in the legal profession at the Westchester Women’s Bar Association’s (WWBA) General Membership Virtual Meeting, taking place April 14 at 6:10 p.m.  

Titled, “A Continuing Lecture Series on Diversity & Inclusion in the Legal Profession: Perspectives from the Bench and the Bar,” this program will highlight the impact of diversity on the judicial bench and in the corporate and legal industries. The panelists will address the greatest challenges facing a thoughtful inclusion and equality strategy, as well as how to combat misconceptions and communicate more effectively. Featured speakers will include the Honorable Cheryl Chambers, Justice, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, and Mirna Santiago, President and CEO of Girls Rule the Law, Inc. and co-chair of the NYSBA’s Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.

Ms. Thomas is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Insurance Law practice and serves as co-chair of the WWBA's Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In her complex diverse insurance and litigation practice, she deals daily with high exposure events and related litigation.
