Lewis Brisbois Continues New Orleans Growth With 2 New Hires

New Orleans, Louisiana (February 14, 2017) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Jacqueline Griffith and Meredith Mayberry as partners in its New Orleans office.

The New Orleans office has seen rapid growth since the beginning of the year, adding insurance duo James W. Hailey III and Shannon Burr before welcoming Griffith and Mayberry.

“Lewis Brisbois is thrilled to announce the addition of several new partners in its New Orleans office,” said Louisiana Managing Partner Jenny Michel. “Lewis Brisbois opened its first Louisiana office in Lafayette in 2006 in response to client demands to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the New Orleans office soon followed in 2007. Lewis Brisbois is committed to Louisiana and excited that the New Orleans office is the way the Lafayette office has in recent years.”

Griffith has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare arena, including healthcare regulatory law, medical malpractice defense, transactional law, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, compliance issues, medical staff issues, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

“I am honored to join Lewis Brisbois and give my clients access to the firm’s national team of talented healthcare attorneys and litigators. I look forward to being a member of its prestigious healthcare practice and promoting the various talents of the firm to my clients,” Griffith said.

Griffith is unique in that her healthcare knowledge and experience with medical malpractice law and professional liability can be partially attributed to her previous training and experience as a registered nurse and vice president of a teaching hospital, which give her an insightful understanding of clients’ businesses.

Also joining Lewis Brisbois is Mayberry, who focuses her practice on litigation with an emphasis on complex insurance coverage disputes, construction defect litigation, premises liability, and transportation matters.

“I am excited to join Lewis Brisbois, a firm known for providing the highest quality legal services to its clients throughout the country,” Mayberry said. “As a trial attorney, I appreciate the outstanding skills demonstrated by Lewis Brisbois attorneys and look forward to practicing with such a talented group of people.”

Griffith is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Healthcare Practice and Mayberry is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Insurance Coverage Practice.
