Krista M. Stoumbos is a partner in the San Francisco office of Lewis Brisbois and is a member of the General Liability Practice.

Krista M. Stoumbos is a seasoned litigator who has tried more than 45 cases before juries. She has extensive mediation, complex litigation, and commercial litigation experience. Krista defends companies and individuals sued in transportation, products liability, professional liability, catastrophic personal injury, employment litigation and commercial litigation matters. She also provides general business counseling and risk management advice.

Krista has practiced in courts throughout California and Illinois over the past decade, excelling in an expansive range of civil and criminal matters.  Her diverse experience allows her to defend a case from all angles, continuously assessing the risks and benefits associated with bringing a case to trial. Krista’s strategic expertise allows her to appropriately leverage strengths and circumvent weaknesses in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations. She creates exit strategies at an early stage of litigation to obtain the most favorable resolution terms possible for her clients. 

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Krista worked for a national law firm defending high-exposure lawsuits for Fortune 500 companies. She has defended numerous wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and high-profile cases.  Krista also served as an Assistant Public Defender for Lake County, Illinois.
