James Choy

Associate

James P. Choy is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability and Professional Liability Practices.

Mr. Choy graduated from Delaware Law School in 2021. While in law school, Mr. Choy was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and participated in the Veterans Law Clinic. 

Mr. Choy began his career as a law clerk and associate at a premier defense firm in the Philadelphia area, representing medical providers in professional liability actions. Before joining Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Choy gained valuable experience working at a New Jersey firm, with a primary focus on commercial litigation real estate and general business law matters. 

Mr. Choy has defended companies and corporations of various sizes in a variety of matters, including personal injury suits, premises liability and professional liability. He has experience managing a multidisciplinary caseload, advising clients on both transactional and litigation matters. Mr. Choy has drafted and argued dispositive motions, and has engaged in all phases of litigation.

Outside of the firm, Mr. Choy is an avid tennis player and golfer. He enjoys spending time with his fiancé, family and his dog, Percy.
