Michael D. Thompson is a partner in the Newark office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice.

Mr. Thompson's experience includes:

• Representing employers before state and federal courts in litigation concerning federal and states discrimination laws, retaliation claims, and other employment matters
• Litigating wage-and-hour collective actions and other class actions
• Counseling clients regarding all aspects of employee relations (including termination, discipline, leaves of absence, reductions in force, wage/hour issues, HIPAA and other privacy requirements, background checks, and drug testing)
• Providing guidance with respect to union/management relations
• Developing and delivering management and employee training
• Representing clients in litigation concerning restrictive covenants, including non-compete agreements
