Jennifer Kretschmann is an associate in the New Orleans office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Insurance Coverage Practice. Ms. Kretschmann counsels insurers on first-party and third-party insurance coverage disputes. Her experience extends to a variety of coverage issues, including those involving commercial property losses, loss of business income, general liability, issues of multiple-year trigger and allocation, additional insured status, contractual indemnity, bodily injury, and extra-contractual liability.

Ms. Kretschmann also has experience representing insurers in complex coverage litigation in both state and federal court with a particular focus on coverage issues relative to construction defect, pollution, toxic tort and long-latency disease exposure. She has defended insurers in “bad faith” actions and class action litigation arising out of major hurricanes. Ms. Kretschmann also has experience in defense of personal lines claims asserted under Louisiana’s Direct Action statute.
