Steven Slayden is an associate in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois with a varied litigation practice. Steven has experience litigating all aspects of disputes, including depositions, discovery, motion practice and trial. He has handled arbitrations, mediations, and both jury and bench trials, securing numerous favorable verdicts for his clients. He is a strategic litigator with experience in general liability, asbestos exposure, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, debt collection, breach of contract, the Illinois Self-Service Storage Facility Act and other matters in courts throughout Northern Illinois. He has second chaired two significant medical malpractice trials, both resulting in verdicts for the defense. Steven defends class action litigation brought against employers and others under the Illinois Biometric Information Protection Act (BIPA) and other cybersecurity/data breach matters.
During law school at Southern Illinois University, Steven was a member of the moot court team and competed in three national competitions. During his time in undergrad at the University of Minnesota, Steven was a three year varsity letter winner as a member of the COED varsity cheer team, where he both competed on the national level and supported Gopher athletics from the best seats in the house.

Between his second and third years in law school, Mr. Slayden was the office clerk for Abramson, Murtaugh, & Coghlan handling insurance matters for Farmers Insurance company.
