The attorneys in our Immigration Practice provide comprehensive business immigration services throughout the United States, including acquisition of visas, counseling on I-9 compliance, and immigration related litigation.

Visa Services

The firm routinely ensures that foreign, multinational, and United States based companies obtain visas, work authorizations, or permanent residency status for their foreign workers in all visa categories. We successfully pursue visas for multinational managers and executives, health care professionals, researchers, advanced degree holders, film and entertainment personnel, and seasonal workers. We also help foreign companies navigate the numerous Department of Labor and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requirements for establishing a U.S. branch or transferring employees to their U.S. branches.

Compliance Services

In recent years, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have turned their focus on United States employers. Now, more than ever, U.S. companies must ensure that they are fully compliant with employment authorization requirements. Even relatively minor violations can result in business interruptions, fines, criminal proceedings, or even revocation of business licenses. We represent companies in ICE I-9 audits and agency worksite enforcement actions, as well as draft and train management on I-9 employment eligibility verification policies, with an eye on avoiding liabilities under IRCA’s national origin and citizenship discrimination and document abuse provisions. We routinely conduct independent external I-9 audits to correct any deficiencies before an agency audit. Our attorneys work to constantly improve companies’ I-9 systems and employment authorization practices in order to allow companies to quickly respond to an audit. We ensure that the proper I-9 re-verification process is conducted, and that verification is properly conducted on all employees and contractors. We also help employers properly respond to Social Security no-match letters, and counsel employers on the legal use of E-Verify.
