Matthew Harrison is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability and Transportation Practices. He is experienced in all phases of litigation with an emphasis on civil defense litigation including cases involving catastrophic personal injury, product liability, premises liability, governmental entity defense and toxic tort.

Matt, who has been in practice for 18 years, has represented numerous governmental agencies in Federal and State Courts involving Section 1983 Civil Rights violation claims, including use of force, false arrest, unreasonable search and seizure, and malicious prosecution from initial incident (walk-thorough/de briefs) through verdict. Matt has defended in excess of 30 cases on behalf of law enforcement and municipalities. Matt has second chaired and been lead counsel in 1983 trials. Matt has represented law enforcement agencies throughout California, including San Bernardino County, Orange County, Merced County, the City of Long Beach, the City of South Gate, and the City of Coronado. Matt has tried federal and state court cases in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, San Bernardino, and Fresno.
