Arezou Khonsari is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation and Healthcare Practices. Ms. Khonsari has significant litigation experience in mass torts, products liability, healthcare and general liability, routinely handling high exposure, catastrophic injury matters.

Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation

  •  Lead counsel in environmental matters for public and private sector clients. Matters involve consulting on superfund sites, soil and groundwater remediation, regulatory compliance
  •  Consult private and public sector clients with public relations and media responses, organize town hall meetings for occupants of buildings
  •  Lead trial counsel in medical causation defenses in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Alameda County
  • Oversee and manage the defense of various companies in asbestos litigation throughout California, Florida and Washington
  • Monitoring and coordinating counsel in multi-jurisdictional actions for various clients
  • Represent Environmental consulting companies, water and sewage remediation companies, and various property owners (residential and commercial settings) in bio aerosol/mold litigation
  • Represent public and private sector clients in construction defect, construction site injuries, construction delay claims, inverse condemnation

Real Estate & Land Use

  • Represent owners, developers, property management companies and public agencies in habitability matters, landlord-tenant disputes, land use, eminent domain and inverse condemnation involving residential and commercial properties
  •  Assist Homeowners Associations in developing and enforcing CC&Rs

Healthcare/Long-Term Care

  • Represent medical groups, surgery centers, physicians, hospitals, and nurses and other health professions in medical malpractice cases in all facets of litigation, including trial and arbitration
  • Represent skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities, management companies and other health care providers in claims of elder and dependent adult abuse, negligence, fraud and wrongful business practices 
  • Represented hospitals and physicians in the Latex, Phen Fen, breast implant and In re Epidural Litigation
  • Consult physicians and medical groups on transactional matters regarding incorporation, employment agreements, partnership agreements, profit sharing and statutory compliance
