Craig Holden is a Co-Administrative Partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois, a national Co-Chair of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation and White Collar Defense Practices, Vice-Chair of the Directors & Officers and Securities Litigation Practice and Vice-Chair of the Government Affairs & Public Policy Practices.

Mr. Holden is a skilled first-chair trial attorney known for his cut-to-the-chase focus. “[E]xceptionally well-tried” is how one judge characterized Mr. Holden’s successful trial performance in a post-trial order, adding further that it was akin to watching “chess masters” or “professional pitchers throwing…no hitters.” In addition to his active federal and state court trial practice, he has served as lead counsel in over 100 international and domestic arbitrations.

Mr. Holden manages a wide range of domestic and international commercial matters, with an emphasis on litigation, trials, and arbitrations involving complex and contested business transactions, intellectual property, unfair competition, entertainment, investment, and high-stakes disputes. His clients range broadly from multinational companies and entrepreneurs to entertainment companies and the business interests of sovereign Indian nations. As part of his counseling practice, Mr. Holden advises clients facing government regulatory and white-collar criminal investigations. He also represents businesses, including officers and directors, in connection with internal and external disputes and investigations. In his intellectual property practice, Mr. Holden has served as lead counsel in copyright, patent, trademark and trade secrets litigation – involving a wide range of products and content from prominent computer technology to Grammy Award winning music.

Mr. Holden's success emerges from his ability to simplify complex cases and develop winning strategies, as well as his ability to instill confidence in clients as he guides them through complex litigation and transactions. Clients continually seek out Mr. Holden to manage their legal affairs because they appreciate his cut-to-the-chase focus and results-oriented approach.

The legal industry has recognized Mr. Holden for his leadership and his accomplishments throughout the course of his career. For example, he has been repeatedly recognized in the “Best Lawyers in America” edition by his peers, as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers in California” by the Daily Journal, selected to Super Lawyers by Thompson Reuters, named “Minority Power Broker” by Law360, “Most Influential Black Lawyer” by Savoy Magazine, and “Advocate of the Year” by Public Counsel.

Mr. Holden has served on Lewis Brisbois’ diversity and management committees, as well as corporate and charitable boards. He has held leadership roles in multiple think tank and civic organizations, including a leadership council for the Rand Corporation, a non-partisan think-tank focused on cutting edge issues relating to business regulation and civic justice.
