Stephen Hoffman is a partner in the Phoenix office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation Practice. Mr. Hoffman is an experienced lead trial attorney who focuses his practice on representing insurers and commercial clients in the federal and state courts of Arizona and New Mexico. He has litigated numerous complex cases, with more than 25 cases tried to verdict in cases involving products liability, complex commercial disputes, commercial torts, the Lanham Act, commercial trucking, construction defect, toxic exposures, personal injury, and employment-related litigation. Mr. Hoffman also provides counsel to insurers on liability and coverage questions, declaratory relief, bad-faith, and extra-contractual disputes arising out of first and third-party policies, under both commercial and personal lines.
Mr. Hoffman began his career in civil litigation and later worked as in-house counsel for a real estate holding company, handling complex transactional matters and overseeing litigation on behalf of the corporation and its subsidiaries. Mr. Hoffman returned to private practice where his in-house experience gives him a unique insight and sensitivity to the needs of corporate clients in efficiently and effectively resolving litigated matters. Mr. Hoffman also counsels clients in their legal relationships, including commercial transactions and business entity formations.
