Orange County, Calif. (May 25, 2023) – Orange County Partner Steven G. Gatley, Minneapolis Partner Tina A. Syring, and Fort Lauderdale Partner Cheryl Wilke will present a webinar titled “Employment Law Implications for a Remote Work World,” on June 15, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. PT.

During this informative 60-minute CLE session, our speakers will discuss the legal implications of the realities of remote work and work-at-home employees. This session will cover three key areas, including discrimination and harassment in a virtual world, best practices for the payment of employees (including implications for overtime and office set up), and the management of FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation issues. Moderated by Orange County Partner Esther Holm, this program will be beneficial and informative for human resource professionals, adjusters, and disability managers.

Mr. Gatley is a Vice Chair of the Labor & Employment Practice and National Chair of the Firm’s OSHA Practice. He specializes in employment law exclusively representing employers for almost 25 years. His areas of concentration include wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Mr. Gatley also represents employers in wage and hour matters including class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases.

Ms. Syring is a member of the Labor & Employment and Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practices. As a former human resources director and inhouse counsel, she uses her experience to counsel employers on labor and employment issues with a business focus. Ms. Syring works with employers in addressing complex issues such as social media issues, executive terminations, allegations of harassment or discrimination, wage and hour strategies, whistleblower complaints, and long-term succession planning.

Ms. Wilke is vice-chair of the Labor & Employment Practice and a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice. She specializes in Employment Law as well as Corporate Compliance and Business Litigation for mid-market and national businesses. In addition, she has a wide range of experience in federal and state courts in all types of litigation. 

Ms. Holm is co-chair of the Professional Liability Practice, and vice-chair of the Product Liability Practice. Her specialty is Trial Practice in Professional, General, Employment, Transportation and Product Liability matters. She moderates all sessions that are part of this General Webinar series by Lewis Brisbois.
