Lewis Brisbois Elevates Three Partners to Korean Business & Litigation Practice Leadership Team

Los Angeles Partners Jerry Chang, Trevor Ingold, and Edward Seo have been named vice-chairs of Lewis Brisbois’ Korean Business & Litigation Practice. In their new roles, they will join the existing co-chairs of the practice, James (“Jay”) Doyle and Scott Lee, as well as the practice’s current vice chair, Charles (“Chuck”) Reed, in ensuring that this thriving group continues to exceed clients’ expectations and achieve their business objectives. 

Los Angeles, Calif. (May 22, 2023) – Los Angeles Partners Jerry Chang, Trevor Ingold, and Edward Seo have been named vice-chairs of Lewis Brisbois’ Korean Business & Litigation Practice. In their new roles, they will join the existing co-chairs of the practice, James (“Jay”) Doyle and Scott Lee, as well as the practice’s current vice chair, Charles (“Chuck”) Reed, in ensuring that this thriving group continues to exceed clients’ expectations and achieve their business objectives. 

Mr. Lee expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the new vice-chairs to the practice’s leadership team, stating, “We are so pleased that Jerry, Trevor, and Edward have been elevated to their new positions. Mr. Chang, who is also a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Labor & Employment Practice, focuses his practice on representing employers in litigation involving issues including wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour matters. With experience defending class action lawsuits, he also provides preventative counseling to employers regarding all employment related issues, including discipline and termination decisions, reductions in force, employee privacy rights, leaves of absences, employment and severance agreements, employee handbooks, and wage and hour law compliance. In addition, Mr. Chang frequently speaks at seminars for business owners and human resources professionals regarding employment and labor law issues. 

Mr. Ingold serves as a co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Lithium-Ion Battery Practice and as a member of its Products Liability Practice. He handles a variety of products liability litigation, with an emphasis on defending automotive, material handling equipment, and power tool manufacturers in state and federal courts. He also regularly represents railroads against personal injury claims brought by railroad employees under the Federal Employers Liability Act and by non-employees for crossing and trespasser accidents. 

Mr. Seo, who serves as a vice-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Aviation Practice and as a member of its Transportation Practice, represents Korean aviation companies in commercial litigation matters involving cargo and freight issues, as well as in cases involving claims of breach of contract and fraud. In addition, he represents international airlines, major U.S. airports, and airport services providers in state and federal courts, handling personal injury, negligence, negligent hiring/supervision/retention, and premises liability matters. Mr. Seo also works with major U.S., Canadian, and Korean bus and trucking companies on matters concerning commercial litigation issues and motor vehicle accidents.
