Kamran Salour to Join Privacy + Security Forum Panel on SEC Cybersecurity Rules

Orange County Partner and co-chair of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Kamran Salour will join a panel on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cybersecurity rules at the Privacy + Security Academy Forum, hosted at Spring Academy in Washington D.C. on May 11 at 8:50 a.m. 

Orange County, Calif. (May 8, 2023) – Orange County Partner and co-chair of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Kamran Salour will join a panel on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cybersecurity rules at the Privacy + Security Academy Forum, hosted at Spring Academy in Washington D.C. on May 11 at 8:50 a.m.  

In this informative 60-minute session, titled “The Coming SEC Cybersecurity Rules,” Mr. Salour and his co-panelist will discuss the SEC’s draft rule released in 2022, which has now been amended and is awaiting finalization. This draft rule establishes a more comprehensive framework to address cybersecurity risks for advisers and funds, including requirements for a 48-hour period for incident reporting. 

Mr. Salour is co-chair of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. He focuses his practice on leading his clients through the incident response process, and helps them assert or defend against claims in state and federal litigation resulting from data security incidents.
