Washington, D.C. (April 20, 2023) – Washington D.C. Managing Partner Jane Luxton will moderate a webinar sponsored by the Regulatory Transparency Project titled, “The SEC’s ESG Reporting Rule: Understanding the Debate over Climate-Risk Disclosure Requirements,” on May 2 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Ms. Luxton will guide this expert panel as they discuss the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) new proposed rule that would establish climate-risk disclosure requirements for public companies. They will outline the arguments for and against the SEC’s effort to regulate in this area.

The Regulatory Transparency Project is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that focuses on fostering discussion and a better understanding of regulatory policies.

Ms. Luxton is chair of the firm's Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Practice, co-chair of its Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense Practice, its Environment, Land, & Natural Resources Law Practice, its Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice, and its Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Practice, and is vice-chair of the Consumer Financial Services Practice.
