Akron, Ohio (April 17, 2023) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome attorney Kerri Keller to its Akron office as a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment and Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practices. With more than two decades of experience, including as first- and second-chair trial counsel, Ms. Keller focuses her practice on assisting businesses and public entities in navigating high-stakes employment and business disputes. She regularly litigates matters in state and federal courts, as well as before regulatory agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and the Department of Labor. Ms. Keller maintains a diverse client base that includes manufacturers, healthcare organizations, local government agencies, and non-profit organizations.

Outside of her practice, Ms. Keller serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association and as co-chair of the Civil Committee of the Northern District of Ohio’s Advisory Group.

In discussing her move to Lewis Brisbois, Ms. Keller explained that the firm’s national platform appealed to her, as did its ability to provide Ohio-based clients with service in other geographic locations. “In addition to having a national platform, Lewis Brisbois was attractive to me because so many clients have needs outside of the state, particularly with a growing remote workforce,” Ms. Keller said, adding, “Companies with an Ohio presence are increasingly drawing their workforces from across state lines.”

Likewise, Akron Partner John Hill noted, “Northeast Ohio knows and highly respects Kerri as an employment lawyer and a business litigator. She also serves our community through active involvement in the Federal Bar Association and other groups. Kerri and her clients will benefit from our firm’s national platform and resources, and we will benefit by introducing her to our clients across that platform. It’s a great opportunity and we’re very excited that she’s joined us.”

Ms. Keller earned her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law, and her undergraduate degree, with honors, from Cleveland State University.
