Several Denver Partners Recognized on 5280 Magazine's 2023 "Top Lawyers" List

Denver Managing Partner Todd R. Seelman, Administrative Partner Jon Olafson, and Partner Lucas "Luke" T. Ritchie were all recently recognized by Denver's 5280 Magazine on its 2023 list of "Top Lawyers."

Denver, Colo. (January 20, 2023) - Denver Managing Partner Todd R. Seelman, Administrative Partner Jon Olafson, and Partner Lucas "Luke" T. Ritchie were all recently recognized by Denver's 5280 Magazine on its 2023 list of "Top Lawyers." Mr. Seelman was recognized for antitrust law, Mr. Olafson for labor & employment law (defense), and Mr. Ritchie for securities law. This is the publication’s ninth annual list of the best attorneys in the seven-county Denver metro area, which is determined by peer surveys and on-the-ground reporting, including peer interviews.

Mr. Seelman - in addition to serving in his managing partner role - is the national chair of Lewis Brisbois' Antitrust & Competition Practice and a member of the firm's lateral hiring committee. He has over 30 years of experience representing clients as an advisor and in litigation involving antitrust and competition, securities and financial fraud, complex commercial matters, class actions, and multi-district litigation. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. Mr. Seelman has been recognized by 5280 Magazine every year since 2015, when it first began compiling its “Top Lawyers” list.

Mr. Olafson a member of the firm's Labor & Employment and Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Disputes Practices. He counsels business clients on a variety of regulatory and dispute resolution matters, largely based on the “who” of their business or industry. In particular, Mr. Olafson regularly works with clients on their domestic and international trade secret protections, corporate espionage, data & cybersecurity, and how to handle situations where a client’s most valuable materials data are threatened by internal and external sources. He is also an editor of the firm's labor & employment law blog, The Grindstone.

Mr. Ritchie, who recently joined Lewis Brisbois, is a member of the firm's Directors & Officers and Securities Litigation and Government Investigations & White Collar Defense Practices. He focuses on complex business and securities disputes, government investigations, and enforcement actions involving federal and state securities laws, the False Claims Act, consumer protection laws, and corporate governance and fiduciary laws. He is also a frequent commentator in the legal media and regularly presents to the legal and business communities on topics related to litigation, government investigations, and legal ethics.
