Dallas, Texas (May 9, 2022) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to be celebrating National Nurses Day on May 6 and National Nurses Week from May 6 through May 12. The firm recognizes and thanks nurses throughout the country for their difficult, compassionate, and selfless work, as well as for the sacrifices that they make regularly to care for others.

In discussing National Nurses Week, Dallas Partner and Vice-Chair of Lewis Brisbois' Healthcare, Medical Malpractice, and Long-Term Care & Elder Law Practices Nichol Bunn noted, "Lewis Brisbois' Healthcare Practice deeply appreciates the contributions that nurses make to our nation's healthcare system, our communities, and our daily lives. We are proud to represent these exceptional individuals in our practice."

National Nurses Day, which was formally acknowledged by the American Nurses Association's (ANA) Board of Directors in 1982, was later expanded to a week-long event, namely, National Nurses Week, in 1994. Significantly, the week culminates on the birth date of Florence Nightingale, one of the most influential nurses in history. The purpose of National Nurses Week  is to celebrate nurses for their hard work and important role that they play in our society and our country.

Please join us in honoring all nurses throughout National Nurses Week.
