Po S. Waghalter is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Ms. Waghalter is skilled in all phases of civil litigation with emphasis in wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, and product liability defense.

With 17 years of experience, Ms. Waghalter has represented small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and international corporations. Ms. Waghalter specializes in development of legal strategy plans toward early resolution and voluntary dismissals following tactical discovery and dispositive motions. Ms. Waghalter’s success of resolving contentious disputes is rooted in her broad range of real-world experience: prior to civil litigation, Ms. Waghalter was a zealous public defender for several years, protecting and upholding the constitutional rights of indigents within the criminal justice system.

Ms. Waghalter now represents a different type of underdog: the responsibly-insured in a highly litigious environment. In having represented both ends of the spectrum - from the significantly financially disadvantaged to well-insured global companies - Ms. Waghalter has the understanding of impacts caused by social disparities and differences, that culminates in her ultimate goal of justice for all, including justice for small businesses and corporate clients in a litigious climate disfavoring deep pockets.

Ms. Waghalter is licensed to practice law in California, Oregon, and Washington, and is admitted in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Southern District of California.

Ms. Waghalter is conversational in French and Khmer.
